Christmas Eve

Brian, Randi, and my dad all decided to go practice shooting a gun on Christmas Eve day. So, I hung out with my mom and the kids. I took that time to mess around with my camera again.

Sydney's Dance

Sydney had a dance recital on December 16th so the kids and I went and watched. She did a great job.

More Kid pictures

Last Saturday we went out to Schells and by the graffiti wall in town and took a few more pictures. I even convinced Brian to come with for some family pictures.

Here is a picture of the cousins.

Logan's normal pose.

This is as good as it gets for family pictures in this house.

I love this picture of Randi and Sydney that I ended up capturing.

Look at that beautiful smile.

Tough dude.

Gotta get a picture of the lovely Lily.

This picture makes me laugh because Randi is having fun and the other two look upset to be taking another picture.

Kid pictures

My sister and I decided to head down to German Park in an attempt to get some good pictures of the kids. We managed to get a few even with some busy kids. All was going to well, up until Logan decided to football spike my camera. I was not pleased to say the least. Here are the pictures that we managed to get before that little incident.

I love the flowers all around. I think my age is starting to show since I am in love with seeing such pretty flowers.

The good, the bad, and the ugly

Yesterday I decided to buy the kids some finger paints. It took all that was in my neat-freak-controlling self to do this. I don't mind my kids getting dirty, I just usually have a threshold of dirty that I am not a fan of.

Anyway, in the morning the kids painted a little. Brenna just pretty much got her hands dirty while Logan was very much into it. He loved mixing the colors along with painting on his paper.

Fast forward to after school. Our daycare was closed for the day so my sister had asked if my neice, Sydney, could walk to our house instead. I told her that was fine. Sydney made it to our house just fine. After some afternoon snacks, a little toy room time, and a little Alvin and the Chipmunks, I decided it was time to go outside. So, off the two bigger kids went while I got Brenna's shoes on and got her ready. Brenna and I went out the back door and Logan and Sydney were no where to be found. Not a big deal because they usually stick around the house and I figured they were close.

After about two minutes of being outside I ran back in to grab my sweatshirt. So, I figured I would check through the kitchen windows to see what the kids were doing up front. I could not believe my eyes. They were fingerpainting our front porch!?! I was a little upset. I knew that Sydney had to open the fingerpaints because Logan didn't quite know how. I made them wait until my sister got here so that they could show her what they did. After they did that, they had to clean the mess up. Thank goodness the paint was washable!

I did not get a picture of the mess that they made, but I did get a picture of them cleaning up the mess. My neice is on the left hand side, then there is Logan and then there is Brenna. Sydney insisted that I didn't take a picture of them, but what she doesn't know.....

Can I just add that I am in LOVE with my Iphone and Instagram!!

Lacking

I have really been lacking in the blogging department. I have been so busy with changing positions at work that I haven't had time. As of right now Logan and Brenna are with Brian in the playroom so I have a little free time. So, I will start where I left off.

Our first bike ride of the season.

As you can see we went with Randi and Sydney and it still was a little bit chilly outside. But, the kids enjoy it and the bonus is that our bike trailer doubles as a double stroller. It works out great!

Easter

The Easter Bunny came to visit our house today. It took a little while but Logan finally found his basket. He also found that the Easter bunny brought back his beloved Wii.

He also hid a few eggs for the kids to find. We had Sydney at our house because her mom had to be at work at six in the morning.
Here are the kids dressed for church. Brenna was sleeping at the time of this picture.

My handsome boy.

Then after we got back from the Marquardt clans Easter, the kids found that the Easter bunny had hid some eggs all around our yard for them to find! Sydney was so very excited!

Brenna hung out in her stroller while they looked for the eggs.

Then after we came back inside I decided to take some cute Easter pictures of her.

This cute little girl also had her six month appointment on Thursday morning. She is weighing in at 17lbs 2 oz. which is the 75 percentile. She is 27 1/2 inches tall, which is in the 96-97th percentile. Her head is also 44 1/2 cm which is in the 95th percentile. She hasn't rolled over yet but the doctor said she is sitting like a champ so she might just skip that step in her development. He thought she was developing great. This girl likes to eat. She eats 3 meals of solids a day and bottles in between. She is a healthy happy baby and she is such a good baby. We got lucky.
